Volume No : 3               June  2010

Dear Members

Markets ended week with minor losses. Revival of monsoon rains, robust industrial production data and strong exports data from China, helped stocks bounced back from a steep fall registered at the onset of the week.

FIIs inflow in June 2010 totaled Rs. 1,188 crs., while FII inflow in the calendar year 2010 totaled Rs. 21,757 crs.

Few circulars were released across BFSI segment last week. The key circulars among them are

1.     SEBI – “Allocation of Corporate debt investment limits to FIIs”& “Disclosure of regulatory orders and arbitration awards on Depository website”

2.     IRDA – “Section 31B(2) of the Insurance Act, 1938 in Life Insurance & General Insurance space”

The orientation program for RAIN members on new IPO process held on 10th June at Matoshree, was very well received and attended by 53 people cutting across 21 registrars across the country. Please note the presentations as well as the snaps taken during the training session are now uploaded on RAIN website. Presentations are uploaded in Presentation corner in member’s area whereas the photos are uploaded in the home page in the events category. Looking forward to your nominations for the next program on technology.

With best regards
