Dear Members

The markets showed an upward trend last week as global stocks rallied after European leaders announced a rescue package to prevent Greece’s fiscal woes from triggering a broader sovereign debt crisis.

On regulatory front, circulars have been released across BFSI segment. Some of the key circulars are listed below in the “Circular Corner” segment of the newsletter. For complete details, request you all to access the links in the “Circular Corner” in the home page of the RAIN website.

On RAIN front, RAIN committee in its last review meeting has decided on the following:

1.     The Model MOU for registrars to issues to be shared with SEBI in the first week of June, 2010 after we gain actual experience in two IPO’s in the revised format

2.     Training to be given to our members on the new IPO process. This has been tentatively scheduled on the 8th June in Mumbai. Kindly block your dates and await more details

3.     Similarly, a training program on NISM certification is being slated for 8th July, again in Mumbai. We are also planning to cover IT security, innovation, emerging technologies and shall hopefully make it as a full day program for the benefit of all the members. We shall circulate more details shortly

More news in weeks to come……

With best regards
